Fulham = Team America?
Eddie Johnson joins Brian McBride, Carlos Bocanegra, Clint Dempsey and Kasey Keller becoming the fifth American member of Fulham United. So what does this mean for American soccer? Is this move evidence towards the growing strength of American youth soccer? At the moment, the implications of his move to the Europe’s Premier League are still speculative. What we do know is that Johnson will be fighting an uphill battle against Europe’s prejudice towards American soccer players in its league and that he will be judged based on his performance.
